Okay, so only one of them is a monster, but they're both definitely pocket sized. I found these two while I was digging through a junk drawer this weekend.
This one is definitely supposed to be a knockoff of a mech from Battletech or Mechwarrior, but I couldn't tell you which model it is. The detail isn't too bad for such a small figurine. If I remember correctly, Chelsea got this for me out of a gumball machine in our first year together. I'm amazed I've managed to hold on to it this long.
This guy looks like he should be a Godzilla villain, but it's definitely one I've never seen before. I can't tell if those things on his head are supposed to be his eyes, or his ears. If they're eyes, the why in the world are they shaped like a satellite dish? If those are his ear, then where the hell are his eyes? There's just a lot of unanswered questions with this one.
As simple as these two are, 7 year old me could have had hours of fun playing with them. They're the perfect size to carry in my pocket for all those boring trips to the grocery store, or those long car rides to Virginia Beach. Back then, all it took were a couple of pieces of cheap plastic, and a wild imagination, and I was entertained for hours.
